A little more than seventeen years ago, two old friends were having dinner together, reflecting on their years of working for new car dealers and how they would do things differently if they had their own dealership. That December, after some hectic months of changing zoning and begging for cash, Brookside Motors was open for business with seven cars on the lot.
Bill Thornton and Wayne Hawksworth founded Brookside Motors with the goal of taking care of customers better than anyone else in the business. To acheive that goal, they surrounded themselves with quality people, offering great cars at the best prices and an unbeatable warranty. The rest has taken care of itself. Today, with over 110 cars, trucks, minivans and SUV's to choose from, Brookside has grown into one of the most reputable and largest preowned dealerships in York, Harrisburg and the rest of Central Pennsylvania.
